Steel, Light, and a Metal Morning

I’ve been photographing the Disney Concert Hall for years—fifteen, maybe more. It’s one of those places I keep going back to. Same building, same curves, same metal skin—but never quite the same light. That’s what keeps it interesting.
Whenever I’m driving near downtown, especially on a weekend, I stop by. Early’s always better—fewer people, quieter streets, and the light’s got more to say. Saturday morning around 7:30, the sun was up, but the light felt different. The main part of the building was catching it like a mirror, and that reflection was bouncing onto other panels, shifting as the sun moved. I saw deep blues and warm browns I’ve never noticed before. Fifteen years of visiting this place, and somehow, it still surprises me.
I’ll drop in some of the shots I got. But really, the best part was just being there watching the light do its thing.
